Golf enthusiasts can enjoy two local courses and minor hockey fans can cheer on the Hanover Barons Junior “C” hockey team.
The Saugeen Rivers runs through Hanover and offers some of the best canoeing in Ontario, as well as excellent trout and salmon fishing. With Lake Huron and Georgian Bay both just minutes away from Hanover, residents can also enjoy boating, swimming and other water sports.
The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority headquarters is located just south of Hanover. The conservation area offers a variety of nature activities such as hiking and cross-country skiing and it is the ideal location for family picnics and bird watching.
